Mindfulness-Based (MBCT)

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) combines the practical tools of CBT with mindfulness practices that help you relate to your thoughts and emotions differently. Instead of getting swept away by worry or self-judgment, you learn to notice what is happening in the moment with more openness and less criticism.

In MBCT sessions with me, you might practice simple breathing exercises, brief guided meditations, or grounding techniques, and then connect them to real situations in your life. This approach is especially helpful for managing anxiety, preventing depression relapse, and reducing stress when you feel constantly "on edge."

You do not need prior meditation experience. I will walk you through each exercise and help you find practices that fit your personality and daily routine. The goal is not to stop thoughts or feelings, but to change how you respond to them so you feel more steady, present, and able to choose your next step.
